Once coffee is roasted, the delicate aromas are quite volatile, meaning they can be quickly lost and the coffee can become stale and woody. Correct storage and packaging helps protect the coffee from its enemies: light, air and moisture.
We pack our whole bean coffee in metal cans, with a squirt of nitrogen gas. The cans are completely airtight and hermetic - so the coffee inside is protected from the elements. The nitrogen helps displace the oxygen which can stale the coffee.
The metal cans are made in the UK and are infinitely recyclable - reuse them in the home or pop them (can and lid) in the household recycling.
